Google had proclaimed in May, 2023 to delete personal accounts that have been inactive for two years. Google will being close down inactive Gmail account in December 1,2023. The policy was announced earlier this year but is set to come into result in December 2023. This step comes as a way to control attacks and security threats such as spam, phishing scams and account hijacking. This type of accounts is more lying to attacks as they are not updated with regular security updates such as two-factor authentication (2FA) that improve account security.

Google accounts can comprise a lot of personal data shared over the years that might be removed. If Google account delete. then, all linked account with Google like Google Mail, Google Photos, Google Drive, Google Contacts, spreadsheet, Maps & Location etc will effects and also deleted. Google sent emails notice that these account removals would start in December. Those emails definite that any account that is considered to be inactive will receive "several warning emails" before deletion. Notifications will also send to recovery emails.
